About Our Costa Rican Coffee Beans

Costa Rica has tough regulations expressly forbidding the growth of low quality coffee varieties. The quality of the best of these coffees can be quite amazing. The country also has the 'Specialty Coffee Association of Costa Rica', which is a collective of the best producers of Costa Rican coffee who control the export of the very best coffees available.

Tarrazu Valley arabica coffee beans are quite distinctive with a light hint of vanilla in the aroma. The flavour is full of caramel, fruit and brazil nuts - with a full body, great acidity, and a clean finish. This is a well balanced coffee.

25-Jul-09 - Sweet, sweet, sweet... propably one of the best coffees I've ever tasted. I think I pulled my best espressos of this coffee. Very tight ristretto brings caramelly, full bodied and a sweet shot with a very pleasant acidity.

12-Feb-10 - This bean was very bitter and probably the worst coffee i have tasted since started to use my machine. Long bitter after taste,

13-Feb-10 - This coffee is the most fantastically smooth, delicate and flavourful coffee that I have tasted - ever. I am a very keen amateur barista, and I have ordered coffee from all over the web - including mainland europe. This is by far the best coffee that has ever graced my 2 group la marzocco espresso machine, thanks!
