Customer Referral Scheme Explained !

At coffee bean shop ltd, we have just introduced a customer referral scheme, that will allow our customers to recommend friends, and get a reward for every order that the friend places. In fact a reward equivalent to 10% of their order value (ex postage) will be added to your ‘rewards balance’ every time they order.

However, adding friends to your list of introductions is a little complex, so this post will attempt to show you how.

Step 1: Login

At the top of the page at www.coffeebeanshop.co.uk there is a link for ‘Mu Account’. Follow this link, or you can get to it directly here :

When you get there, you will find a page that requires you to login

Chances are, you wont know your password, so you need to use the password reminder box and button at the bottom.

If there’s no password on our database for you then a random one will be generated and sent to your email address.
Once you receive the password you can enter your email address and password into the 2 boxes on this form and click on the ‘Log In’ button to proceed.

Step 2 : Enter Your Friend(s) Details

You should automatically land on the ‘My Rewards’ page.

Now, to enter a friend for referral, you must put their details in this box:

Click on ‘Add To Your List’, and the system will try to add this person to your list of referrals. The only reasons why they wont be added are:

1) They are already a customer – we only accept referrals for people who are not yet our customers

2) Someone else has added them to their referral list.

Once you've added some friend, you should be able to see them all in your list

As you can see, the list will include a tick-box to let you know if they’ve become a customer yet.

Now, all you need to do is encourage your friend to order from us. And every time they place an order – you get 10% of the value as a reward.

On this page you’ll see your current statement:

The statement will include everyone who orders, and when you relinquish your reward the amount will come off your statement.

Step 3 : Relinquish Rewards Against An Order

Once you’ve generated some rewards, to can relinquish them against an order

Click on the ‘Add Reward To Basket’ button, and the system will recognise that you want to use your rewards against an order.

Then simply navigate our site, placing coffee in your basket until you’ve had enough.

The system will automatically take from your reward balance as much as it can towards your order. So for example, if you have £10 of coffee in your basket and £5 or rewards then a discount of £5 will be applied to your order, and your rewards points balance will be at zero.
However, if your order is £3 and your rewards balance is £5, the system will only take £3 from your balance and leave £2 in your rewards pot.

NOTE:

1) Rewards cannot be used for postage, so as a minimum you’ll need to pay for postage on an order.

2) Rewards are not taken against your order until you have successfully paid for it, so you don't need to worry about not going all the way through to checkout

Remember, the more buying friends you refer, the more free coffee you get to drink. If you’re popular, you could completely fuel you coffee habit with our reward scheme.
