Aerobie Aeropress

This relatively new design has brought the worlds of espresso and paper filter together in some sort of crazy mix up. We were not sure about the AeroPress at first but the more we used it the more we loved it. Capable of producing a superior brew in under 2 minutes this is our favourite coffee maker for a long time. This is an ideal brewer for home use or to take away with you on holiday. This is a great gift for a coffee lover; pair it with Jamaican Blue mountain for a real treat. If they don't have a grinder we can grind specifically for AeroPress.

For instructions on how to use this product, check out our AeroPress brew guide.

A truly amazing coffee maker, results on a par with professional espresso machines, in an easy-to-use, inexpensive, virtually indestructible, compact, portable device.
I've had one of these for years now, and taken it around the world in my rucksack.
Incidentally, the paper filters are easily cleaned and re-useable at least a dozen times, and only slightly over a penny each brand new anyway...
Buy one - you'll never look back!

I purchased an Aeropress and whilst it produces a reasonable cup of coffee for one, it is totally impractical for guests. Good in principal but be aware.Rating: [3 of 5 Stars!]By Francis Pope

Genuinely one of the best coffee related things I've bought. Very easy to use and clean - I keep mine at work. Produces what I would call an intense Americano, although you could happily make a single / double espresso. I love my Aeropress!Rating: [5 of 5 Stars!]By Gurveer Birdi

I saw a review of the Aeropress somewhere and always being on the search for a good coffee maker I bought one. I have not been disappointed. It's so simple, so quick, no messing about. It's ridiculously easy to clean and takes up no space at all in the cupboard.

It has a stirrer which is a bit superfluous as a spoon will do the same job. Mine came with 350 filters, enough for a loooong time and they can be reused if you are making more than one cup. Recommended, I use it a lot.

Cheap enough to try, the Aeropress makes a coffee somewhere between an espresso and an americano. The trick is to maintain a gentle but steady pressure.

[Also try inverting it - have the plunger stopping up the lower end, let the coffee and water brew for a minute or so before screwing the filter cap on top. Place a mug over that, up-end then press steadily to avoid overflows. There are lots of videos on YouTube.]

Its only snag is that it makes just one mug at a time. When I lost the cap from my first one, I bought two more. Even buying four is a lot cheaper than the coffee machine we no longer use.

Not only is the Aeropress coffee better, it makes the cleanest cup I know. The grounds are left as a compressed puck which can be shot into a waste bin with no mess, leaving the whole thing very easy to clean.

Highly recommended; an excellent Christmas present.

I have been the happy owner of an Aeropress for about 5 years now, and have since bought one to go to the office as well. A simple piece of kit which brews an excellent cup of coffee.
Also perfect for making a brew to go in a flask or travel mug, as it filters so well that there are no grounds in the brew to allow the coffee to "stew" in the flask.

Excellent, extremely portable coffee maker and very easy to use. Great on wet scout camps to wake up to a superb cup of coffee. Brilliant!Rating: [5 of 5 Stars!]By Margaret Nagle

I've been delighted with the Aeropress. It is simple to use, easy to clean and takes up very little room in a drawer - it doesn't clutter up the work surface. It also makes great coffee. Espressos, lattes, machiatos etc all as good or better than I've had from more expensive traditional espresso machines. I've got a simple way of heating and frothing the milk using a kilner jar and the microwave (you will find it on YouTube along with demos of the Aeropress). I'm selling my La Pavone Europicollo machine now that I have the Aeropress.Rating: [5 of 5 Stars!]By Les Waters
