I’m really pleased to be able to continue to bring you this coffee from Costa Rica. It has become an increasingly premium coffee as growing areas are being eroded by modern living and tourism continue to rise.
Year on year it becomes a rarer crop and therefore its price increases, it's doubled in the past few years. We’re hoping this high-altitude premium coffee will be around for many years to come. The very best Costa Rican coffee is sometimes illegally substituted for Blue Mountain, put into barrels and sold for 10 times as much!
The clean and sweet flavour lends itself well to the AeroPress brewing method.
Costa Rica has tough regulations expressly forbidding the growth of low quality coffee varieties. The quality of the best of these coffee beans can be quite amazing. The country also has the 'Speciality Coffee Association of Costa Rica', which is a collective of the best producers of Costa Rican coffee who control the export of the very best coffees available.
What You Will receive
All of our single origin coffee beans are freshly roasted by us at our traditional family run coffee roastery in rural Kent. When you order online, you receive a bag of coffee that is very much a premium product, where the aromas and flavours will be exceptionally delicious and remarkably better than what you may be used to from the supermarket.
About Brewing This Coffee
This coffee works fantastically well in all brewing equipment, including espresso / cappuccino machines, cafetiere pots, paper / metal filter brewers, and Turkish brewers.

Having wandered away from coffee for a while I decided to try a few roasts from different suppliers/sites. Had a few nice ones and some really poor ones. With this in mind I hedged my bets and bought some tried and tested Monsooned Malabaar and the Tarrrazu as a punt on something new, I wasnt disappointed. Makes a really nice cup, smooth, tasty and a great morning brew.Rating: [4 of 5 Stars!]By Kelvin Stephenson

Coffee Bean Shop Ltd reply: Hi Kelvin,
Thank you for taking the time to share your review of our Costa Rica Tarrazu Valley.
This really is a fantastically well balanced smooth and creamy cup, we are delighted you are in agreement.
Best wishes, The Bean Team.
Woody and caramel flavours, a rich taste. Good start to the day as an espresso. Not as smooth and creamy as the Monsoon. Overall a nice coffee.Rating: [4 of 5 Stars!]By Jonathan Mallalieu
