Visiting Hawaii and the volcanic mountains of Kona has been on my bucket list for as long as I can remember. It’s a truly remarkable coffee and in its raw form is exceptional in quality.
Once roasted, it has a unique and incredibly smooth taste. It’s in my top two personal recommendations along side Jamaican Blue Mountain. Kona beans are really large, have a look at how perfect they are before you grind them!
Kona is a carefully controlled Arabica coffee cultivated on the mineral-rich volcanic slopes in Hawaii. On the mountains of Hualalai and Mauna Loa the semi-tropical climate with its mix of warm nights, slight scatterings of cloud and rain following mornings filled with sunshine, creates ideal coffee growing conditions. But with its production limited and strict control of labelling origin and trademarks, it’s a rare and exclusive coffee.
Our top-grade Kona coffee is clean and well-balanced with a medium body and a sweet, bright acidity, often exhibiting spicy and also buttery qualities. It can be described as having subtle winey tones with a great aftertaste / finish.
The Hawaiian islands are volcanic and as such, the special soil is highly beneficial to growing coffee because it is full of rich minerals that encourage healthy strong coffee trees which produce the most amazing red cherries.
Rain is plentiful producing not only water for the plants to survive, but shade from the sun enabling the fruits to develop more slowly. There seems to be the perfect balance of sun, rain, low winds and mild nights to produce arguably the finest coffee in the world.
If you want to taste one of the most exclusive coffees in the world, then order now as we have limited stock of this rare and extremely delicious coffee.

This is the best tasting kona coffee , I've had in the UK outside of the states ordering some more today.Rating: [5 of 5 Stars!]By Keith Howard

Espresso shot of this Kona has a crazily huge length, breadth and depth of detailed tastes which remarkably never deviate into roughness. The complex, bold and well rounded earthy flavour seems to be almost magnetically attracted to a beautifully smooth and buttery yet complex middle. First sip of this and a big smile spread across my face. A remarkable coffee and no doubt about it. It's a rare treat for me and isn't going to be a regular buy but it does set the standard for the quest to find a less exclusive second best. In terms of in your face crafted brilliance, I haven't yet found anything that comes close.Rating: [5 of 5 Stars!]By Gareth Davies

Been wanting to try this for ages. I’d read that it was sometimes overrated so I wasn’t expecting to be blown away but I was. This is a delicious coffee. I’ve since tried another Kona from another online store and it was not as good as this stuff! That’ll teach me:)Rating: [5 of 5 Stars!]By Jonathan Mallalieu

Tried this for the first time, and it now ranks alongside Blue Mountain as my favourite bean. Smooth as you like and a great tasting coffee without bitterness. A definite one for re-order.Rating: [5 of 5 Stars!]By Gloria Booth

Ordered this coffee as I had read about it being really fine. As I grind my own I used the same settings on my machine after a thorough clean out as not to taint the coffee, I found this to be an exceptionally smooth coffee with little noticeable bitterness. my wife whom normally does not drink black coffee remarked that it was nice.
will definitely be ordering some more soon.

Tried this to compare with the other coffees I ordered. It's a lovely clean smooth taste with good after taste - lovely as americano or expresso. The cost makes it a special treat though as its expensive compared with some of the other coffees on offer at Coffee bean.Rating: [5 of 5 Stars!]By Mike Clarke

I was lucky to try this coffee recently and have got to say its up there with my favourite blends!
My all round favourite has always been Old Brown Java but the Hawaiian Kona is a full rich flavoured coffee that really is all round smooth to the end. It is clear when you drink this coffee that it is a very high quality coffee that I would choose even over Kopi Luwak! Now don't get me wrong here Kopi Luwak is a must try coffee and has a fantastic unique flavour but I could drink the Hawaiian Kona all day long.
My advice, give this coffee a go, it's not cheap but you will appreciate what your paying for here.Rating: [5 of 5 Stars!]By Gary Rogers
