Colombian Swiss Water Decaffeinated

Wow, love this! For decaff it has an amazing deep flavour that's really smooth with no bitter after taste. I find regular decaff to be weak and watery but not this one. I grind the beans in my espresso maker and it makes a perfect cup of coffee.Rating: [5 of 5 Stars!]By Gillian Crowley

Coffee Bean Shop Ltd reply: Hi Gillian,
Thank you for taking the time to post your review.
I completely agree that our Colombian Swiss Water Decaf is on par with our regular Colombian. With all the richness of our Bucaramanga it's a winning decaf!
Best wishes, Jenni & The Bean Team.

Jamaica Blue Mountain

I got a bag of the Blue Mountain for my birthday and it’s every bit as good as I’d hoped. Wonderful flavour which develops the more you drink, with a beautiful aftertaste that lingers.

It’s like a good malt whisky, more expensive but worth it!

Everyday Espresso Blend

Captain Smooth was thoroughly enjoying his Roman Holiday, far away from the interminable monotony of regimental life.
The waiter arrived with his espresso doppio, with accompanying biscotti and mineral water. He took a sip and savoured the rich, pleasantly sweet, velvety chocolate and caramel taste and thought it really rather good, almost on par with his usual old brown java.
From across the square, he marvelled at the classic beauty of the Trevi Fountain, its shimmering water glistening in the summer sun. Just then, a young couple swept to a stop on their Lambretta , she sitting side-saddle on the pillion. He thought, only the Italians can achieve such style and flair riding a simple scooter.
It stirred fond memories of sunny days, out riding his old International Norton with his (then) girlfriend sitting on the back…
‘RUPERRT!! Have you finished connecting our new classic baroque fountain yet? I want it up and running before my parents come over this afternoon’
‘Won’t be long dear, just a few minor technical adjustments’
He took the last sip from his CoffeeBeanShop everyday espresso, turned away from the shed window and looked forlornly down at the scattered fittings and pipework on the floor, thinking…
I know what I’d wish for if I had three coins to throw into THIS fountain.

Old Brown Java

Now I’m still pretty new to all this grind your own and brew types etc but I’ve tried several different beans now so it was time to give this a go. Now I thought this one would be easy. However I’ve found it very unforgiving. Get it right with timings, grind, steep times etc and it’s a really nice coffee. Strong, spicy and Smokey. Good strong bold coffee, just how I need it sometimes. Get it wrong though and it’s bloody horrible. Try it though it’s definitely worth it.Rating: [4 of 5 Stars!]By vincent bell

Coffee Bean Shop Ltd reply: Hi Vincent,
Thank you for sharing your review of our Old Brown Java. It is known as a "marmite" coffee, you either like it or hate it! Sounds like you have experienced both ends of the spectrum depending on timings, grind etc. Please do get in touch to see if we are able to give any advice on a consistently good OBJ as we like to call it.
Thanks again and best wishes, Jenni & The Bean Team.

Peruvian Tunki

This is a really sensational coffee. It’s complexity increases as you continue to drink it. That to me is what quality coffee should be about.
Delicious.

Coffee Bean Shop Ltd reply: Hi Mo,
Thank you for your review of our Bean to Cup Starter Pack.
We medium roast all of our coffee which keeps most of the oil within the beans and retains the flavours that are naturaly present rather than masking with any bitterness and creating oily coffee beans as dark roasting can do. We have specially selected some of our most popular coffees for this pack and are thrilled this was a great choice for you.
Thanks again for sharing your feedback.
Best wishes, Jenni & The Bean Team
