Sumatra Mandheling is a very distinguishable coffee and as its name suggests, comes from Sumatra in Indonesia. Cultivated on Mount Luser where the soil is rich in volcanic ash, an ideal environment for growing coffee.
We love roasting this because Sumatran beans have the distinctive blue glassy colour until they're roasted fully, they also have a very distinctive shape, rather a long bean… have a look at the shape before you grind!
Our Sumatra Mandheling Arabica coffee beans are full bodied, deep and rich. This coffee has a complex and condensed flavour, which is admired by enthusiasts and connoisseurs alike.
What You Will receive
All of our coffee beans are freshly roasted by us at our traditional family-run coffee roastery in rural Kent. You will receive a bag of coffee that is very much a premium product, where the aromas and flavours will be exceptionally delicious and remarkably better than what you may be used to from the supermarket.

Mild but subtle and characterful coffee. Great first cup of the day. A little smoky and a great balance. Great for chemex.Rating: [4 of 5 Stars!]By Graham Harrison

Over the last couple of weeks I've found this coffee to be a pleasant enough every day drinker, very smooth and gets me through the work day well enough! I do find that there's a slight aftertaste (slightly metallic), although this could just be the water from our machine at work, or the fact that I've been drinking very strong very smooth Vietnamese coffee for the last few months! But generally speaking, a good drinking coffee! I'm brewing using an Aeropress.Rating: [4 of 5 Stars!]By Gurveer Birdi

It's just a great coffee pure and simple. Can be enjoyed any time of day, whatever the mood. The description is right - so much complexity in the flavour you just sit with a cup and savour every drop. If a coffee could be quaffable this would be it.Rating: [5 of 5 Stars!]By Jordan Forster

This is a really nice, smooth coffee. I use a Delonghi Espresso machine and a not too fine grind and this produces a lovely shot with plenty of flavour and crème.
Service is excellent from the coffee shop and this coffee is well worth the money, and should definitely be added to your "to Try" list.Rating: [5 of 5 Stars!]By Marc Butterworth
